The Ashe Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and personable Head Server/Chef de Rang to join our team. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in a similar role (e.g., Head Server, Chef de Rang) in a fast-paced hospitality environment. 8+ years F&B experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including the ability to make recommendations to guests.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage guest expectations during busy periods.
- Previous experience with point of sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills is a plus.
- A passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to maintaining a high level of service.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift items as per health and safety guidelines.
- Ability and willingness to work variable / flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Food & Beverage Assistant at The Ashe Hotel, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dining services. Your responsibilities will include pre-shift preparation, greeting and seating guests, taking orders, beverage and food service, handling guest concerns, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Additionally, you’ll promote teamwork and collaboration by supporting fellow team members, fostering a welcoming work environment, resolving conflicts professionally, and assisting with team onboarding and development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the supervisory team in leading and managing the service team, ensuring smooth and efficient service during all shifts.
- Greet guests and manage their seating arrangements, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring all items are served in line with our standards and guest expectations.
- Take and relay guest orders accurately and promptly, collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage guest requests and concerns, ensuring a positive dining experience and addressing issues as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with kitchen staff and F&B team to ensure seamless service.
- Supervise and train Food & Beverage Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets high standards of service.
- Monitor dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Assist with stock control and ordering of supplies as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for guests, ensuring all their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
