FINDING BETTER WAYS TO PROVIDE THE MATERIALS THE WORLD NEEDS.

We are looking for a Manager Remuneration Strategy & Solutions based in Montreal to support the design and execution of Rio Tinto Remuneration policies and programs. The strategies and systems adopted at Rio Tinto to remunerate employees at all levels is critical in being able to attract, retain and mobilize high calibre individuals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Remuneration Strategy & Solutions, you will be responsible to:

  • Lead a small team of specialists to support the roll-out of global remuneration programs.
  • Act as a day-to-day project lead, ensuring the annual cycle of activities progresses against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards.
  • Partner with the appropriate human resource area to deliver strategically aligned reward solutions and systems to the business.
  • Ensure policies, practices and programmes support the business while aligning with Rio Tinto global and regional practices and processes.
  • Provide advice on the application of Rio Tinto reward policy and processes to the business.
  • Lead market research, financial analysis and make recommendations.
  • Implement training and communication programs for managers and other employees.
  • Lead all internal activities in relation to compliance with applicable remuneration related legislations.
  • Liaise and partner with other regional remuneration teams to ensure best practices and cross-collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain key network of contacts to facilitate the exchange of remuneration information.
  • Support with the implementation of our HR technology solution and provide key input as a reward SME.
