Are you a person who loves to mentor and empower their team? A person who would like the opportunity to work with an established culinary team looking to further enhance their skills and grow their knowledge? Are you a person who strives to provide an exceptional experience for a Club and its Members? If so, then Mad River Golf Club is the place.
We are seeking a Chef with strong leadership and team building skills who is working on continuing their Culinary journey with us as we expand our offerings at the Club. We are a seasonal club with the position starting early March. We are searching for a leader who brings experience from working at a golf club or resort and is excited to be part of the next chapters of Mad River Golf Club.
We are a team-oriented Club that works together to build a schedule that allows our team to have time to spend with family, friends and to do the things we love.
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate is a team player who listens, creates and implements what is necessary to create an exceptional dining experience for our Members.
You have a proven skill set in menu development with an emphasis on healthy and local offerings.
You enjoy training and team building, are health and safety aware, versed in inventory management, food cost control, labour and operating expense management.
You will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and as partners will work together to positively collaborate with the membership and management in planning and coordinating all F&B events of various sizes.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
You have worked at a golf club and/or resort environment.
Have a passion for a hands-on approach to cooking “on the line” during busy periods to create exceptional experiences which will include evenings and weekends (rotating schedule)
Though post-secondary Culinary Arts certification would be beneficial, it is not a requirement as we are looking for experience and what you can bring to the Club and its Membership.
You are proficient in the use of Word, Excel, P.O.S. systems and ideally JONAS P.O.S. software. (training will be provided, if necessary)
