As a Chef Manager at Sodexo based on site at Nuffield Hospital in Taunton, you are also a natural leader and a food safety expert who plays a key role in providing a welcoming, safe environment for our customers. You’ll lead a team of 14 who pride themselves on delivering a high-quality service to patients and staff 365 days a year. As part of the role, you will be required to cover a rota which includes working one in three weekends. This is a hands-on role, and you will be involved in the day to day kitchen duties; be prepared and happy to get involved!

Main ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll do:
- Manage all aspects of staffing and hospitality; ensure the smooth running of patient and staff feeding, driving service excellence, and delivering quality.
- Ensure compliance with Sodexo ordering policy and complete all required paperwork, including temperature checks, electrical checks, COSHH, HACCAP, etc.
- Train all members of the team and ensure that the kitchen and food service areas are kept clean and well-maintained.
- Ensure that all areas of the kitchen and food service areas are kept clean and well maintained. Reporting any defaults to client and helpdesk and ensuring completion of outstanding issues
- To pass all internal and external audits such as safeguard, EHO and Nuffield audits
- Manage the team to achieve the desire results driving forward service excellence and delivering quality.

- Extensive experience of managing a team in a similar setting
- A highly organised approach to your work with the ability to forward plan
- A proven track record of delivering results and managing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A Food Safety Level 3 certificate preferred.
- City and Guilds 7061/7062 or equivalent cooking qualification
