SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Proven experience in a similar role - previous Aged Care experience would be an advantage
• Commercial kitchen and or café experience preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Food industry qualification
• Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your culinary skills will thrive working at Edgewater Retirement Village in Pakuranga, Auckland. You will be an experienced passionate Chef who enjoys creating delicious quality meals for our residents to savor in a restaurant and Care home environment.
This role is working 32 hours per week - Thursday to Sunday 9am to 5.30pm. There may also be opportunity to pick up additional hours if desired.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Creating delicious food in a restaurant environment
• Coordinating the kitchen to ensure it operates effortlessly.
• Maintaining a high standard of food with consistent portion sizes and outstanding presentation.
• Using your leadership skills to support our kitchen team alongside our Kitchen Manager.
• Take responsibility for the overall management of the kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
