Job Description: We are seeking 5 Chefs.

We are looking for 5 Chefs. This job is required to perform duties and responsibilities that include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Decides menus, estimates costs, and orders cooking materials.
  • Prepares and cooks Chinese cuisine in dining and catering establishment.
  • Monitors quality of cooked foods during preparation and presentation.
  • Discusses food preparation issues with other staff.
  • Demonstrates techniques and advises on cooking procedures.
  • Stores food in temperature-controlled facilities.
  • Regulates temperatures of cooking equipment.
  • Ensures food safety and enforces hygiene regulations.
  • Supervises and trains cooking staff as required.

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • A relevant NZQF Diploma qualification or above
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualification requirement
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Be a team player but also able to work independently
