Description:
Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Chef/Team Leader to join Cooee Lodge Aged Care Facility.
ABOUT YOU:
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in cooking and working in a large commercial kitchen or similar
- Knowledge and skills in preparation of special dietary needs in accordance with care plans
- Ability to lead and supervise staff
- Demonstrated ability to comply with documentation requirements
- Have a good understanding of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) to ensure a high standard of food safety, preparation and storage.
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety
- Ability to work with and empathy towards the elderly
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of NSW Food Authority regulation
Responsibilities:
- Permanent full time
- 38 hours week
- Rostered Monday - Sunday
- weekly pay cycle
- Salary based on qualifications and/or experienc
