Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
  • Proven experience in chemical regulatory compliance (min 2 years)
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical industry
  • Strong knowledge of local, national, and international chemical regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in regulatory tracking and compliance software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with industry-related certifications and testing standards would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

DUTIES:

  • Classify new raw materials and assess compliance of all substances
  • Ensure adherence to specific regulatory requirements
  • Verify R&D threshold requirements and specific purposes for R&D activities
  • Conduct patent searches related to new raw materials
  • Managing the yearly submission of regulatory documentation and reporting to the respective international authorities
  • Investigate and track other compliance requirements
  • Approve NPR samples for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with specific country requirements
  • Oversee import/export regulations, including registrations and Certificates of Compliance
  • Maintain the regulatory matrix with regional listings
  • Promote sustainability and recycling initiatives
  • Ensure regulatory compliance notifications for internal and OEM clients
  • Publish a quarterly regulatory newsletter
  • Offer customer support and guidance on regulatory matters
  • Conduct testing to ensure compliance with relevant standards
