Job Scope
Carries out the Quality Control for approval of externally purchased and/or internally produced raw materials, whether chemical or biological or plastic or auxiliary material.
Respects the analyses timing, guaranteeing the execution within correct methods.
It is concerned with ensuring a continuous technical upgrade of the applied methodologies and a continuous improvement of the in-use technologies.
Can interact autonomously with other company groups in the evaluation of the data acquired in the proper analytical context respecting mutual skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Guarantees maintenance of analysis execution times in compliance with Quality Procedures and applying GMPs;
Owns the necessary competence to evaluate analytical data and propose corrective actions;
Cooperates in the development of new control methods for both chemical and biological products through active collaboration with the Methods Development group;
Cooperates in the development of control methods for plastic and consumable materials through active collaboration with the System Development & Integration group;
Collaborates in monitoring the correct functioning of the control instrumentation;
It is an effective part in Validation Plans and Validation protocols/reports drafting, both instrumental and methodological, as defined by the Specific Operative Procedures, as well as in the implementation of the same;
Collaborates in the selection of new instruments necessary for the laboratory’s activity;
Manages Non-Compliance, OOS (out of standard), RFC (Request for Change), CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), where required;
Collaborates in the generation of laboratory KPIs ;
Ensures the correct management of documentation relating to the proper activities;
Collaborates in maintaining safety in its working area.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Higher diploma or university degree in technical-scientific field;
Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, CTF, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications;
Experience in the role is appreciated, acquired in structured companies/laboratories in the chemical-biological field (chemical-biochemical-microbiological area) or gained in structured companies/laboratories in the dimensional controls field (plastics-auxiliary area);
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the main microbiological techniques;
Excellent practical competence in the use of laboratory instrumentation (microscopes, CM, and sterility test systems);
Good knowledge of microbiology in the industrial diagnostic field;
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the main chromatographic, electrophoretic, and spectroscopic techniques;
Excellent practical competence in the use of laboratory instrumentation (UPLC/UHPLC, BioAnalyzer, UV-Vis spectroscopes, titrators and standard instrumentation);
Good knowledge of the chemistry of proteins, such as antigens and antibodies;
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the main measurement techniques in the Plastics and auxiliaries area;
Excellent practical skills in the use of laboratory instruments (comparators, calipers, microscopes, profile projectors);
Good written and verbal communication skills;
Good interpersonal and organizational skills;
Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures;
Ability to detect deviations and causes;
Good English knowledge.
