Description:

We are currently seeking for a Chemical Engineer to join our Honeywell UOP business unit in Milan initially where you will begin with a 12-month Early Career training program that includes 6 months in Italy + 6 months in U.K, followed by a 3-5 year commitment in Field Operating Service, where you’ll work closely with global customers, traveling internationally and domestically to support the operation of UOP technologies and play a vital role in commissioning, optimizing, and troubleshooting process units at various sites worldwide.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
Honeywell UOP is the recognized leader in developing and licensing process technology that convert oil, natural gas and renewable feeds into transportation fuels, energy and petrochemicals. It also develops and sells catalysts, adsorbents, equipment, process plants and technical services.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian (B2-C2).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally/domestically for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and flexibility in adapting to changing work environments.
  • Physically able to work in challenging on-site environments for extended durations.
  • Ability to fulfill the Field Operating Service traveling role (100% travel) for at least 3 years after the completed 12 months training

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a 12-month training program in UOP technology, safety, and processes, with rotations in Research, Process Development, and Technical Services.
  • Travel globally to provide on-site support during the start-up of UOP process units, ensuring they meet customer expectations and specifications.
  • Lead commissioning activities and transfer technical knowledge to customers’ engineering and operating teams.
  • Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting, optimization, and monitoring of UOP process units.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to continuously improve operational performance.
