Description:
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our team as a Chemical Inventory Coordinator II. This is a unique opportunity to make a real-world impact by supporting our customers in finding cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring food safety. As a part of our world-class Unity Lab Services division, you will play a crucial role in providing integrated lab service, support, and supply management.
Responsibilities:
- Use Thermo Fisher Scientific’s or customer’s inventory/order management electronic systems to carry out diverse tasks, including on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.
- Deliver chemical packages within a laboratory environment.
- Sustain and maintain chemical stockroom inventory.
- Pickup hazardous waste.
- Follow work processes as outlined by written procedures.
- Listen to customer concerns, effectively address issues, and proactively communicate with supervisors.
- Engage in process improvement activities.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
- Validated customer service skills with demonstrated verbal and written communication abilities.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service.
- Proficient in using handheld scanners and entering data in various systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites and in areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 30-40 pounds consistently, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
