Job Title: Chemical Operator, Solvent Borne
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Department: Solvent Borne
Reports to: Plant Operations Manager
Location: Etobicoke, ON

Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, the Chemical Operator is responsible for manufacturing Solvent Borne products according to Helmitin’s quality and safety requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Load and unload chemicals into mixing vessels using best safety practices
- Operate and maintain processing equipment according to Helmitin’s quality and safety requirements
- Prepare batches for processing according to batch sheet requirements
- Pump solvents into mixing vessels, storage vessels and packaging according to Helmitin’ quality and safety requirements.
- Test and adjust viscosity of finished products according to Helmitin’s quality and safety requirements
- Operate forklift
- Inform Department Lead Hand of any raw materials or supplies needed
- Clean and organize necessary areas (including equipment)
- Perform inventory count duties
- Perform Production Assistant duties as required
- Assist other departments as required.
