Description:
Plaquemine, LA
PSC Group is now hiring a full-time Administrative Assistant to support our in-plant supervision group on-site group and serve as the main point of contact for both PSC employees and customer contacts. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all clerical duties to include managing timesheets and communicating operational information from the field to the customer. This role will require the ability to multi-task and provide back-up assistance when needed to order supplies and PPE, as well as complete and maintain site specific documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a chemical plant clerical environment.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (8-hour days)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a consistent basis
- Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employer
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Tracks attendance and maintains personnel training files
- Maintains payroll operations, vacation, overtime, and attendance schedules
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, overtime, turnover, etc.
- Provides information to PSC employees and customer contacts by answering questions and requests
- Submits monthly and quarterly updates to Customer and PSC’s office
- Provides administrative support and back-up assistance to order unit supplies as needed
- Makes copies, send faxes, and types memos
- Assists in training compliance and updates procedures
- Complies with all policies on filling of medical and personal information
