Our Chalk River location is looking for a Tritium Research Scientist to support our Deuterium and Tritium Technologies branch! As a Tritium Research Scientist, you will research the growing areas of heavy water production, tritium processing and fusion energy. Can you see yourself participating in the existing tritium and fusion research program developing process simulations of various methods to separate chemical species to produce heavy water, modelling tritium interactions with materials, tritium generation and transport in various reactor designs such as small modular reactors, molten salt reactors and fusion reactors, and the removal of tritium from process streams utilizing CNL’s established expertise in tritium removal technology? What will you be doing!
Being accountable for the safe operation of all activities under their responsibility.
Being responsible for aligning project priorities with the Directorate and the Science and Technology value proposition.
Working with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers and technologists to achieve the goals of their projects.
Being accountable for the project’s progress in terms of technical achievements and project delivery.
Being accountable for the supervision of staff involved in the projects that the incumbent is responsible for.
Preparing proposals to secure funding for research programs at CNL or other commercial opportunities.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.
