Description:

Our client in the lower mainland is looking for a Chemical Process Operator to come join their facility.
Ideal fit will be someone with their 4th Class Power Engineer certificate who has experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment or similar and who has a strong mechanical aptitude.
You will thrive in this environment if you like to do a little bit of everything. You will be responsible for product production through blending and batch processes as well as the manufacturing of certain products. You will be operating equipment, packaging, loading and unloading product containers. You will also be doing light maintenance and mechanical repairs as needed. You will be mindful of your environment and keep your area clean and tidy as you go and be safety conscious, following quality control procedures and initiatives as set forth by the plant operations.
Schedule is Monday-Friday/Day shifts. Compensation ranges up to 34 per hour (occasional OT available as dictated by business needs) with benefits offered immediately upon start.

  • 4th Class Power Engineer certificate
  • Be able to operate a forklift
  • Full drivers license with clean driving record (BC Class 1 license ideal or committed to obtaining it upon hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Chemical or engineering background an asset

-Mechanical aptitude - ability to diagnose and repair some machinery

-Computer skills - Microsoft Office suite and other various Windows programs

  • Communication skills (both verbal and written/must be fluent in English)
  • Punctual and committed to your work
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
