CHEMICAL TECHNICIAN – PRODUCTION

As a Chemical/ Laboratory Technician who has worked in Chemical Production, you will have the
unique opportunity to be part of a high-functioning team of chemists and material scientists to
produce some of the fundamental materials behind our exhaust gas purification technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Apprenticeship as chemical laboratory technician (CFC) in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry,

materials science, energy science or related industrial sciences).

  • Prior experience in a chemical laboratory or similar interdisciplinary setting, with an

emphasis on experience in production.

  • Knowledge of chemical safety procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle heavy lab equipment and wear chemical masks for extended periods

throughout the day.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure with strict deadlines when

necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct syntheses of inorganic materials according to established production protocols.
  • Ensure production quotas are met and quality control is maintained.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory space.
  • Handle and dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials safely and in accordance with

safety protocols.

  • Assist in performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and troubleshoot and

resolve equipment issues.

  • Prepare samples for analysis and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed.
