Description:

Overview:
Element has opportunity for a Chemist (metal analyst) to join our growing team in Dubai and this is a great opportunity to develop your testing career within a Global TIC business
In this role , you will be primarily working with with ICP OES and ICP MS, handling water and soil samples.
This position will be based in Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out metals analysis using ICP OES and MS instrumentation
  • Assist in modifying existing analytical SOPs as needed
  • Effectively address client queries, conduct final reviews of analytical data, release/send data to clients, and set up new analytical methods
  • Responsible for all analytical aspects of the department, maintaining quality records in the laboratory in accordance with ISO 17025 standards
  • Utilize chromatography data systems and efficiently manage the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Chemistry, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of one year of experience with ICP OES instrumentation (MS experience is a plus) in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
  • Ability to work effectively in teams under pressure and flexibility to adapt to different working hours (day/night shifts) as required
  • Strong English communication skills, along with good mathematical skills
  • Willingness to meet role requirements and availability for overtime as needed
