We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on-site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS. This role is located at our client site in Galway. This is a full-time permanent position with CLS.
The Role: Experienced Chemistry AnalystLocation: Oranmore, Galway (Marine Environment)
Working in an exciting Marine Environment on the Galway coastline.
Duties & Responsibilities
To undertake the chemical analyses of veterinary residues and environmental contaminants in farmed fish/seafood at laboratories using various instrument such as LCMSMS, GC-MS
To assist in method development and validation of appropriate analytical methodologies in accordance with the quality system (ISO 17025) and to comply with EU legislation .
To carry out the troubleshooting of analytical methods and instruments where necessary in accordance with the quality system.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of reports as directed
Implementing legally defensible sampling programme at harvest and other stages of production. This involves on site work up of samples and maintaining a strict chain of custody.
Sampling and subsampling of finfish samples and ensure that sampling targets are met.
Assist where appropriate in follow up investigations.
Liaise with approved 3rd party laboratories and assist in sending samples for subcontract analysis to various approved laboratories.
Assist Residue programme coordinator in reporting, data management and other programme tasks as relevant.
