Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for providing technical support to daily laboratory operations, radiological measurement evolutions, and environmental monitoring efforts; providing analytical support in the production of enriched UF6; participating in activities in the operation of chemical and environmental processes and technologies, supporting programs for the effective monitoring and trending of current radiological control practices, dosimetry; and actively participates in the promulgation of radiation safety policy, and interfacing with other URENCO USA to ensure efficient coordination of their activities with regard to chemistry and environmental monitoring. Performs cross-functional duties of a chemical, environmental and radiological measurement technician employing sound scientific practices to minimize the contamination and the generation of hazardous and radioactive waste.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Education: Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical
- school in a technical or scientific discipline or completion of Naval Nuclear Propulsion training as an Engineering Laboratory Technician.
- Years of experience: 3-5 years
- Certifications
Preferred:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university
- Years of experience: Required: Three to five years of related experience working in a scientific laboratory environment and/ or Five years of experience working in radiological or nuclear technology environment.

Job Details
- Work Location: perform work at site
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8 am to 5pm. Some nights and weekend work may be required.
- Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
- Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access; L or Q level security clearance
- Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty is required; including
- being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.

- confined spaces, near moving parts, radiation, risk of electrical shock, chemicals, vibration, outdoor with
