CHESTNUT HILL HOSPITAL-CHIEF NURSING OFFICER (CNO)

Provides effective and coordinated leadership to deliver nursing care, treatment and services. As a transformational leader, this individual develops a strong vision, a well-articulated philosophy, a Professional Nursing Practice model and nursing strategic and quality plans in leading nursing services that align with organizational priorities. The CNO develops goals and objectives with particular emphasis on the Nursing Department and continually ensures that the delivery of patient care is evidenced based and innovative with attention to individualized plans that address age/developmental and psycho-socio-cultural patient treatment needs. This individual has the authority and responsibility for the overall management and leadership of the nursing staff to achieve goals and objectives through programmatic planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation at the respective campus. Responsible for all Nursing Education, academic affiliations, and Performance Improvement activities/programs.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : in Nursing or a related field. (Required)
Experience
5 Years experience in a progressively responsible nursing administrative role or director level (Required)
General Experience and in-depth knowledge of healthcare issues, acute hospital regulatory requirements, accreditation issues, service line direction, clinical service development, professional nursing issues, continuous quality improvement capabilities, contract analysis and negotiation (Required)
License/Certifications
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
ANCC - Amer Nurses Credentialing Cntr (Preferred)
