ABOUT THE LOCATION:

Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.
The Role of Chief Accountant :
We currently have an opportunity for a Chief Accountant to join our Four Seasons Hotel Madinah opening team!
Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, along with supervising other areas within the Finance Department under the direction of the Director of Finance, including payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering; ensuring that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed and that you are continuously striving for improvement of processes and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include assisting the Assistant Director of Finance with maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the assets and resources of the hotel, actively supporting other department managers with matters such as labour stand ards and payroll, assisting with the development of the team, assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, accounting and financial reporting, safeguarding cash assets, analysis and control over balance sheet and P&L accounts, assisting with coordinating and facilitating external and internal audits, and ensuring that income is properly recorded and an accurate and timely Daily Business Report is generated.
Our Ideal Chief Accountant candidate will have:
Three to five years of experience in a Finance Department within a hotel environment, a college/university education and a good understanding of Month-End Process; including the preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries and maintaining reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
You should have the highest level of integrity and transparency, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams, the ability to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings, and a desire to promote a continuous learning environment that creates an atmosphere for professional development opportunities . Ideally you will have experience of a new hotel or resort opening .
Supporting the Saudi nationalization scheme, we are looking forward to connecting with Saudi nationals who have a passion finance and an eye for detail . Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
