JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Compliance and Quality Officer will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Allegheny Family Network and will have a collaborative relationship with other members of the Executive Team. The Chief Compliance and Quality Officer will acquire, interpret and report on a variety of subjects to ensure compliance. This position will monitor contract, fiscal and HR compliance. All responsibilities shall be completed in a manner consistent with agency vision, mission, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in human services or a related field strongly preferred. A minimum of two years management and experience with data base entry and reporting required. A high degree of integrity and strong ethics is necessary.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT:

The Chief Compliance and Quality Officer must:

  • Have direct experience raising or having raised a child with a mental health or behavioral concern
  • Possess a current Pennsylvania driver’s license and daily use of a reliable vehicle.
  • Be able to travel locally, out-of-county, and nationally as needed
  • Carry automobile liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000
  • Obtain current, successful Pennsylvania state, child abuse, criminal and FBI clearances, and have no report on the National Registry of Sexual Offenders
  • Must be able to report to the office at 701 North Point Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15233 for the majority of working hours.

This position is exempt from overtime. It is expected that the Chief Compliance and Quality Officer will perform and complete their duties as and work in office 37.5 hours per week or until job requirements are completed. Working from home may be granted occasionally by request from your direct supervisor.

  • Ability to write Policies and Procedures and keep them updated regularly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret data on a variety of subjects and report on that data

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the position is to oversee the agency’s compliance and program quality by functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance and quality issues/concerns and to improve both by leading systematic quality improvement efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities in Programs:

  • Develop and implement a Program Performance and Quality Improvement Plan (PQI) for AFN that includes measuring agreed upon standards for expected outcomes and improvements in social determinants of health in cooperation with the Database Specialist, Chief Services Officer and other executives
  • Design criteria to monitor service delivery benchmarking standards
  • Evaluate agency compliance to benchmarking standards by:
  • Performing audits of families’ record documentation for compliance and completeness
  • Reviewing progress note entries for quality standards
  • Develop a monthly peer case record review process and review
  • Chief Compliance and Quality Officer will provide a compliance report to the Chief Services Officer
  • Chief Service Officer will report once a month the results and the solutions to correct anything needing improvement or staff corrective action
  • Create a quarterly Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) process including the completion of a quarterly report in written and graph format to be presented to the Chief Executive Officer and the AFN Board of Directors
  • Conduct phone and written consumer satisfaction surveys
  • Document the results of satisfaction surveys in written and/or graph format for review by the Chief Executive Officer and the AFN Board of Directors
  • Assure adherence to contract requirements in collaboration with the with the Executive Team
  • Perform monthly reviews of all incidents and submit summaries to the Executive Team
  • Participate actively in all assigned meetings
  • Assist Chief Executive Officer and designated staff with special projects
  • Report relevant and important information to the Executive Team
  • Other duties as assigned
