JOB DESCRIPTION
U.S. Bank Business Banking provides a range of products and services to clients throughout the country, generally focusing on clients with annual sales up to $25 Million.
Business Banking Credit Services, led by the Chief Credit Officer of Business Banking, collaborates with various stakeholders across the Small Business and Business Banking segments to achieve operational excellence in key areas such as underwriting, approvals, bookings, servicing, and portfolio risk management.
The Chief Credit Officer oversees credit functions that enhance the client experience by leveraging the human and digital connection. They provide strategic guidance to senior management and the business line, develop and strengthen an effective management structure, and manage multiple credit delivery channels, including Conventional, SBA, Healthcare, Agriculture, and Small Business. Additionally, they implement and maintain cost-effective programs to optimize operational efficiency and serve as a liaison to various internal and external groups, including other Business Lines, Credit Risk Management, Credit Risk Review, the OCC, and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 15 or more years of relevant experience
- 10 or more years of management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proactive thought leadership that responds to changing business needs and objectives
- Thorough knowledge of organization structures, business practices, and business products and services
- Demonstrated strategic management and leadership skills, coupled with extensive experience in managing transformation initiatives, including strategic and operational changes
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Bank Risk Framework and institutional lending philosophy
- Positive approach to people leadership, with a proven track record of developing, investing in, and elevating talent across teams
- Experience in Wholesale Credit relationships, spanning clientele ranging from small businesses to commercial entities
