Are you passionate about building innovative cloud solutions that create meaningful customer experiences? We are looking for a seasoned engineer to join our Cloud Hosting Crew where you will be responsible for leading and driving the technical direction of the DevOps Hosting Platform. This is the flagship cloud hosting platform that our team has designed and built at CBA. In this role, you will support the crew to deliver an ambitious vision against our key objectives:

As a Chief Engineer, you will set the bar high on engineering standards, practices and quality and will continue to raise the bar for the engineers around you. You will provide core technology and domain expertise to inform technical strategy and be responsible for the design of cloud solutions for complex challenges adopted by multiple business units. You’ll have a strong risk mindset and take security from the first line of code approach. With a strong security-first mindset, you’ll ensure that every line of code is built for resilience. You’ll also lead by example, mentoring and inspiring others to develop their engineering skills and drive the technical roadmap for our cloud hosting platform.
TECH SKILLS

- CI/CD tools (i.e. GitHub Actions, TeamCity or Octopus).
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation or SST).
- Automated Quality Engineering and Testing (Unit Testing, Regression Testing).
- Solution and System Design.
- Application Security.
- Observability and well versed with tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Code quality control through peer programming, code review and automated pipeline release management.
- Mentoring and coaching other Engineers.
- Experience with configuration management (IaC) and containerisation
