SUMMARY

As the CFO, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the overall management of the company’s financial health. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leadership to drive financial strategy, provide insights on growth opportunities, and ensure the company’s financial stability as we expand. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role where the CFO will need to oversee all financial operations, from accounting and budgeting to financial planning and investor relations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experienced ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in senior finance roles, ideally within a consultancy, technology, or digital agency environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and compliance.
  • Experience in managing finance in a growing organization and navigating the challenges of scaling.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a small finance team.
  • Prior experience in investor relations, fundraising, or M&A activity is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s short-term and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize revenue streams, control costs, and improve profitabilityFinancial Operations:
  • Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, reporting, cash flow management, payroll, and procurement.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and efficient systems and processes.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place and mitigate risk through proper governance and compliance procedures.Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the senior leadership team on all financial matters.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with heads of departments to align financial goals with operational priorities.Investor Relations & Fundraising:
  • Support potential fundraising activities, manage relationships with investors and financial institutions, and lead financial due diligence for any M&A or investment opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights and performance updates to the board of directors and investors.Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Leverage financial data and KPIs to inform business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and advise on pricing, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including revenue, profit margins, cash flow, and working capital.Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Oversee risk management processes, including insurance coverage, contractual risk, and compliance with local and international financial regulations.
  • Ensure tax optimization strategies and oversee the timely filing of tax returns and audits.
