We are currently seeking an experienced CFO with a strong background in US and Canadian tax, laws and regulations for our multinational gaming company. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the gaming or e-commerce industries and be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and profitability.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least five years of experience in a senior financial management position (CFO responsibilities preferred)
- Strong knowledge of US and Canadian laws and regulations, focusing on tax. In addition, knowledge of international tax would be favourable
- Prior experience in the gaming or e-commerce industries, specifically in a multinational environment, is a strong advantage
- Experience managing a fast growing business or division would be advantageous
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Location: Concord, Ontario, Canada (In-Office Position)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with US and Canadian laws and regulations, including tax and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and profitability
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to the senior management team to support decision-making
- Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Oversee the company’s financial planning and budgeting processes
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
- Manage the company’s cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to support operations and growth
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
- Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team and ensure they effectively manage their responsibilities
