Description:

INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The CFO will be responsible for driving the company’s financial planning, performing risk management, and overseeing all financial activities to ensure the company’s financial health and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling organizations, managing acquisitions, and developing effective cash flow strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the company’s financial planning and strategy
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability
  • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
  • Control, and continuously improve, the capital structure in alignment with long-term strategies
  • Create and manage the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts including month-end reconciliations, bank reporting, annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, annual audits, cashflow projects and project cost accounting
  • Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  • Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers, etc.)
  • Establish clear department roles, processes and measurements of success for the finance department
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement and services
  • Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  • Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
  • Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  • Develop and oversee procurement strategy, execution and deliverables
  • Act as key member of the Senior leadership team providing keen insight regarding finance, risk, planning and strategy
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and training to build strong financial acumen and fiduciary responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as CFO or in a similar financial leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Strong understanding of cash flow management, investments, and financial planning
  • Successful experience scaling organizations and managing acquisitions
  • Demonstrated skills working cross-functionally to support the full company strategy
  • Proven leadership, coaching and commitment to teaching and continuous improvement
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • CPA or MBA is a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, risk management, and fundraising
  • Strong track record of developing financial strategies and building action plans to bring them to life
