Teltonika has opened a new office in Istanbul, Turkey to serve our B2B clients selling different IoT products from GPS tracking systems to networking solutions.

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in to strengthen our ambitious team in Bogota, Colombia. By joining our team, you will be part of a group of knowledgeable and helpful colleagues and play a pivotal role enabling Teltonika to grow our presence in Colombia, through developing and implementing a new financial accounting, monitoring and reporting function.
Teltonika started actively opening offices and developing businesses in LATAM back in 2018. Today we have offices in Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Peru; our teams work with many other markets in this region. Teltonika also serves clients in North America having offices in Canada and Texas, USA. Our goal is to develop B2B partnerships by selling different IoT products from GPS tracking systems to networking solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee daily/weekly cash flow to ensure the office has enough liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Monitor the adherence to budgets and forecasts, making adjustments as necessary. As weel as support and control logistics in stock management.
  • Collaborate with CEO and review long-term financial strategies and goals.
  • Responsible for relations with banks and bank account management.
  • Review and analyze daily financial reports to assess the company’s financial health and work together wit the CEO in the monthly reports production and review.
  • Examine discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance, providing insights and corrective actions form the financial perspective
  • Identify and evaluate financial risks and ensure appropriate measures are in place to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decisions and initiatives.
  • Update financial forecasts and models based on current performance and market conditions (ej Exchange rate, interest rate, etc).
  • Oversee the administrative & finance (accountant) team, including setting objectives, reviewing performance, and fostering professional development.
  • Work closely with CEO and other departments to support their financial needs and ensure alignment with overall strategy.
  • Prepare together wit CEO reports and presentations for directors and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external parties.
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses to ensure financial efficiency.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in Colombia.
  • Experience in strategic financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Fluency in English (at least B2) is required (written and oral).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align financial goals with the overall business strategy.
  • Ethical mindset and a commitment to integrity in all financial practices.
