FACILITY OVERVIEW:

The Surgical Institute of Reading (SIR) is comprised of a surgical specialty hospital, an outpatient ambulatory surgery center, three physical therapy centers and on off-site business annex. As a physician owned entity, we provide a different approach to patient-centered care and make sure the patient is always our number one priority. We focus on excellence, quality, patient safety, compliance and the overall patient experience. Our patients are provided easy access to care and a state of the art facility.
Our surgical hospital and ambulatory surgery center have received national recognition for the care we provide our patients in the greater Wyomissing, PA area. We offer a full range of services and our doctors, nurses, along with the rest of our staff, are all highly trained in their fields of expertise. We provide in-house imaging services (diagnostic & CT) and anesthesia services, ensuring our patients have all the services they need in one location, from medical professionals they know and trust.
We have three physical therapy centers located in Exeter and Wyomissing. Working with a dedicated physical therapist assists with recovery and restoring full strength and range of motion. Our centers offer a sports medicine program ideal for getting athletes back in the game. We specialized in TMJ treatment, concussion therapy, occupational therapy, BIG Parkinson’s and vestibular (balance) therapy.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The CFO directs the finance and accounting functions and is integral and vital to the success of the organization. The ideal CFO candidate must possess strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. The CFO serves as the Ethics and Compliance Officer and must have an in-depth understanding of regulatory and accounting standards and principles and uphold the integrity of financial and compliance reporting. They must demonstrate skills and leadership in management, financial operations, hospital operations, fiscal affairs, strategic financial planning, internal controls and compliance.
The CFO must have the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and other data to meet the high standards of SIR. This position will oversee various hospital departments in support of the hospital’s mission, vision, and values. The CFO will identify cost-effective systems needed to support the organization taking into account business trends and resource availability. The CFO will work collaboratively with other managers in meeting facility goals.
The CFO is a member of the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

In order to be considered for this position, a candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, Required
  • Masters’ Degree in Business, Accounting or Healthcare Administration and CPA, Preferred
  • Recent hospital financial management experience, Required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hospital financial management and revenue cycle experience, Required
  • Recent management of multiple departments including all business office functions, Required
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, analytical and computer skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential
