Salary $108,000
Location: Most work performed at 153 Frederick Street Home Office in Kitchener; with option for virtual/hybrid depending on needs of the team in a given week.
In this Role, you will impact the Community by …

working alongside the CEO and department Directors, to provide overall financial leadership to the organization. You and other members of the Finance Team will guide the rest of the organization on financial matters in the following ways:

• Overseeing all fiscal activities and managing the finance, budget and decision support functions,
• Directing financial planning, forecasting, and supervising the monthly finance activities through the Manager, Financial Planning & Accounting.
• Guiding the ongoing development and refinement of financial goals, objectives and strategies that are aligned with the vision and strategic objectives of the organization.
• Advising senior leadership on strategic and operational financial challenges.
• Supporting with the identification, monitoring, minimization, and resolution of financial risks.
• Supporting with any financial planning of new programs or grant funding.
• Ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
• Overseeing financial reporting requirements.
• Overseeing financial reporting to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors.

• An understanding of and appreciation for the not-for-profit environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP for non-profit organizations
• Comprehensive knowledge of CICA

The global YWCA movement traces its origins to the initiative of two women in England in 1855. Lady Mary Kinnaird and Emma Robarts established organizations to provide support for women during the industrial revolution.
