POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our innovative marketing team and help envision the future of our brand and how we effectively communicate our value proposition to the market and our customers.
As our CMO, you will be essential in shaping our vision and strategy for how we tell our story and how engage with new, existing, and potential customers. You will be driving creative and innovative marketing strategies that elevate our brand, expand our market reach, and accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth. You will work across all of Purpose’s client channels and will bring brand cohesion and relevance to our Purpose Investments, Advisor Solutions by Purpose, and Driven operating units as we migrate towards a more unified One Purpose. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and data-driven insights into our marketing initiatives, setting new standards for customer engagement and brand loyalty in the fintech sector. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team of Purpose Unlimited, you will be responsible for setting priorities, strategies, budgets and OKRs for the marketing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated execution and self-starting mindset
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful a branding effort as well as broader marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong organizational methods
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and ability to coach diverse individuals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience in managing budgets and optimizing marketing spend, especially on small marketing budgets.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian financial market and regulatory environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement an inspirational and effective marketing vision and strategy to continue to meaningfully differentiate our brand in the market, increasing awareness and driving growth.
  • Brand Marketing: Ensure that we build a distinctive and highly recognizable brand that supports our commercial aspirations and speaks to our target and existing customers effectively.
  • Customer Insights: Gain a first-hand understanding of how customers engage with the brand across all touchpoints and conclude to continually evolve, improve, and optimize customer service.
  • Data Driven Strategy: Harness data analytics and AI to develop a deep understanding of marketing performance to optimize campaigns, and customer engagement and drive continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coach a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Campaigns: Design and execute compelling marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience to increase brand awareness and drive growth.
  • Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, social media, email marketing, and content marketing to drive online engagement and conversions.
  • Customer Acquisition: Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies to attract and retain clients, leveraging data-driven insights and innovative marketing techniques.
  • Partnerships: Establish and manage strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, influencers, and media to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI. Ability to work with lower marketing budgets and drive effective strategy.
  • Feedback Management: Prioritize and funnel customer feedback to the Customer Experience, Product Management team, technology team, and executives to optimize the user experience.
  • Product Marketing: Develop deep customer engagement and early buy-in as part of our continuous product release and maturation cycle
  • Content Management: Oversee a comprehensive customer and prospect engagement and education process through the crafting of impactful and innovative educational and brand-building content
  • Prioritization & OKRs: Develop and implement marketing priorities, strategies, and OKRs to align with overall business objectives, while managing and optimizing the marketing budget.
