Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Office of Transformation and under the direction of the EHR Executive Sponsors, the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer provides visionary leadership and establishes direction for a comprehensive clinical informatics program, with a primary focus on nursing
practice and ancillary partnership in support of interdisciplinary patient-driven care. The Chief Nursing Informatics Officer serves as the principal for developing informatics plans, data analysis, creation of policies and procedures and serves as a champion for complex clinical
projects and systems that support efficiency and effectiveness for end users, with the primary goal of advancing evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and guidance to the clinical informaticists.
- Acts as a liaison between IT staff and nursing and ancillary staff.
- Serves as a member of one or multiple clinical advisory groups to represent hospital, clinic, and affiliated practitioners. Leads and facilitates discussions in the design of clinical systems to support excellence in patient care and research.
- Engages patient care providers with varying roles including physicians, nursing practitioners, nursing staff, ancillary department personnel, and medical records professionals to contribute to the development and use of the clinical information system.
- Advises on workflow design for nursing and ancillary services. Active in developing and validating your organization’s nursing and patient care services related clinical content development and review.
Other responsibilities include:
- Ability to travel for project collaboration, training and to support implementations at Hunterdon and Partner facilities.
- May be required to work off-duty shifts or be on-call including evenings, nights, and weekends to support operations during times of major installs.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
