Summary
We are looking for a “Chief of Independent Monitoring System (f/m/d)” for the “Regulatory Affairs & Aviation Excellence” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The Regulatory Affairs & Aviation Excellence department is responsible for maintaining the conformity of aeronautical operations with relevant EU aviation regulations and military requirements.
In this function, the Chief of Independent Monitoring System (IMF) reports autonomously and independently directly to the Head of Design Organization.

Your Tasks

  • Central contact person for aviation authorities for questions regarding operating licenses and development assurance systems
  • Support in approval procedures and process changes/improvements as a development organization vis-à-vis the aviation authorities
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance and adequacy of the company’s design assurance system with the relevant regulations
  • Monitoring that the responsibilities within the organization are properly fulfilled
  • Active cooperation in the interface with manufacturing and maintenance organizations within and outside the company
  • Ensuring that subcontractor organizations are monitored
  • Supervise individuals involved in design and airworthiness functions in terms of qualifications, experience and training

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in aerospace, electrical engineering or similar
  • Many years of experience in development and quality management / development assurance
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of civil aviation law according to EASA as well as EMAR / DEMAR requirements
  • Proven expertise in dealing with civil and military aviation authorities (LBA, EASA, LufABw)
  • Extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience of relevant aviation standards (EN 9100, AQAP-2310)
  • DO-178 / 160 / 254 knowledge
  • Auditor qualification in aviation
  • Diplomatic skills in dealing with internal and external parties
  • Fluency in German and English
