Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to: Managing Director Oceania and Chief Financial Officer
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Location: Melbourne
As Chief of Staff , you will support the Managing Director and CFO in achieving organizational goals by enhancing efficiency and driving strategic initiatives. The Chief of Staff aligns departmental goals, leads key projects, and provides insights for informed decision-making, while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Collaborate with the MD and department heads to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring cross-departmental alignment with company objectives.
Provide strategic support to the Managing Director & CFO by preparing materials and assisting in decision-making, while handling sensitive information with utmost discretion.
Conduct research, develop dashboards, and provide insights for strategic decisions, while generating reports, monitoring trends, and preparing presentations for the CEO/CFO.
Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment, timely delivery, and budget adherence, while facilitating collaboration, managing risks, and coordinating budgets for the CEO/CFO’s office.
Act as the communication link between the Managing Director, executives, and external stakeholders, managing relationships and facilitating meetings to support strategic goals.
Coordinate and prepare presentations, ensuring clear communication of financial data and strategy for the Oceania cluster and client meetings.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

A degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in an international, challenging environment, handling strategic projects and operational tasks.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Experience in the shipping, logistics, maritime industry, with a strong grasp of industry operations, regulations, and challenges.
Advanced communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including high numeracy.
Highly adaptable and flexible with shifting priorities.
