As Chief of Staff (CoS) / Business Manager, you will serve as a member of a Leadership Team, where you will provide strategic support as a development opportunity to grow skills and capabilities in a leadership team environment. A CoS will aid the leader and the leadership team to be better organized for them to focus on higher value work and be responsible for the effective working of the Leadership group. You will develop/co-create the overarching operations framework, measure organizational effectiveness and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. As such, you are recognized as a thought partner for the members of the organization and their respective leadership teams to maximize efficiency with minimal change management.
Your key responsibilities include:

To provide Strategic Support you:

  • Design, plan and drive, the execution of organizational strategies
  • Lead cross-functional activities and strategic initiatives, as needed
  • Bring a neutral perspective into a management team (act as a sounding board - bring voices of the org to the team)

To contribute to Leadership Effectiveness you:

  • Work with Org Unit Head and team to plan and execute Core and Extended Leadership activities and Drive the realization of our organization’s vision
  • Agenda building for topic focus, prioritization, and strategic purpose
  • Facilitate effective LT meetings, following up on outcomes
  • Challenge and support the leadership team to live the mindset & culture and keep the LT accountable for role modeling the behaviors

Furthermore, to provide Operational Support on a day-to-day basis you manage special and/or cross-functional projects well and help navigate through uncertainty and risk. You discuss potential issue areas ensuring all are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolved. You establish and maintain effective systems for alignment to goals, help deliver relevant KPIs/OKRs to monitor the progress. You nsure financial planning takes place at the right level and cadence, supporting our finance partners in driving the team toward the set milestones
To focus on and support Cross Informatics Enablement you act as an integrator and bridge-builder, and manage special initiatives and projects and/or connect workstreams together. You help drive strategy & strategic initiatives across Informatics in a truly integrated way. You partner across Informatics to foster alignment, the use of synergies, and team spirit.

YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience or related knowledge
  • Bachelor degree
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take risks and learn
  • Clear goal orientation, energy and drive with the commitment to implementing change
  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and integrity
