The Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports directly to the COO, and has an active role with the Palmer team. This teammate will be responsible for partnering with various functions across the business to drive strategic planning, management process, business communications and aggregating / synthesizing information to support business processes and decision-making.
Location: Denver based, hybrid role

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in Strategy, Consulting with Project Management or a similar role supporting enterprise-level initiatives within healthcare or financial operations leadership.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in a strategic or operational leadership role
  • A minimum of 2 years of project management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Prior experience in healthcare services and/or working with payors, physician networks, value-based care models, and/or integrated care models preferred
  • Must be comfortable researching and presenting internal and external data to help senior leaders make decisions
  • Demonstrated track record of top performance and desire to help improve our overall healthcare system.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Chief Operating Officer in crafting and executing on strategic initiatives
  • Organize core operating efforts and drive collaboration across lanes
  • Support internal/external communication by helping to crafting and delivering key messages
  • Highlight management process gaps or improvement opportunities, then implement solutions
  • Lead critical projects working across multiple service lanes; monitor metrics, track progress of initiatives, and prepare presentations for senior leadership
  • Collaborate across teams to perform analyses and synthesize results
  • Support in the development and improvement of a top performing operations leadership team
  • Work across operational and innovation teams to advance best-in-class capabilities in the market
  • Regularly apprise the COO of project status and variations from schedule or scope
