Description:

The COS - Market Leadership Advisor manages the development, operations, and results of a health plan. The Market Leadership Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Chief of Staff - Market Leadership Advisor serves as the primary resource on product design for the Northeast Region. Ensures that assigned health plans are meeting or exceeding corporate Medicare performance benchmarks and implementing the strategic plan. Maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within a region. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often market and product specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Works hand and hand with the Regional President to execute business reviews, market meetings, external meetings and internal strategy sessions.
- Develops and leads initiatives which expand, build or change market capability and allow markets to respond effectively to the changing environment
- Develops and leads initiatives which allow for increased idea sharing, trend savings and market profitability across the Region
- Collaborates with Regional associates and other Retail leadership to drive product initiatives
- Takes ownership of market product offerings and competitive analysis
- Partners with aligned business partners for bid process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years proven program, project and people leadership within a matrixed organization
- Experience within the healthcare industry
- Exposure to, and optimally experience, with organizational change leadership execution or project/program delivery
- Exposure to and optimally experience with product management frameworks and evolution, and/or product delivery
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and strategize at Sr. Levels within the organization
- Ability to build consensus and convey significance, cause and opportunity of initiatives
- Executive level presentation and communication skills, both written and oral
- Success in developing working relationships within a highly matrixed business environment
- Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to travel up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree
- Prior knowledge of the Northeast Medicare products and competitive landscapes
- Experience developing relationships with key stakeholders to understand and improve the market
WORK-AT-HOME REQUIREMENTS
- To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
- Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
- Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
