Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily operations of BCO, including but not limited to information technology, provider clinical areas, front desk, medical records, radiology technology, compliance, DME and Advanced Imaging.
- Conducts meetings as necessary with supervised staff.
- Assists Chief Executive Officer in developing and implementing the business plan and budget along with the strategic plan.
- Participates in development of strategic plans, governance structure and objectives for practice management.
- Participates, oversees, interprets and recommends changes to all clinical and operational policies and procedures, including but not limited to HIPAA and OSHA.
- Participates in resolution of problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.
- Participates in the evolution and refinement of quality improvement processes.
- Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements.
- Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care.
- Participates in recruitment and retention of professional and nonprofessional staff.
- Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotion, and disciplinary actions for supervised staff.
- Attends Board of Director and Shareholder meetings.
- Reviews the biweekly payroll and overtime sheets with supervised staff.
- Contracting for housekeeping, maintenance, cell phones, garbage, laundry, infectious waste pick up, courier, dictation, laundry, telephone system and equipment leasing.
- Oversees resolution of patient concerns and complaints.
- All employees have a responsibility to comply with our organization’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and mission, values & vision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with trends and practices in health care administration (conferences, journals).
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in a business or health care related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum five years of health care management experience at the senior-management level (in a medical group practice preferred)
