Job Summary
This position is key to transforming APAC’s service delivery and operation model of providing technology-led business process outsourcing to public transportation agencies.
The VP Operations has direct execution responsibilities of select operational services and matrix responsibilities of certain shared optional services provisioned from global operations centres.
This role will work with global & regional leadership to lead planning and implementation of approved operational and transformation initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
The VP Operations may also have responsibility for design and build programs within their region for programs that are delivered with contractual obligations.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Strategy and Execution:

  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement and efficiency
  • Develop and implement local service operation initiatives in line with CUBICs global standards
  • Optimize operational processes to enhance scalability and growth potential

Financial Oversight:

  • Own P&L responsibility for APAC’s service delivery;
  • Collaborate with Finance to prepare annual budgets, manage expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Oversee the management of company resources, ensuring optimal use and cost-efficiency
  • Build and execute financial/operational business cases to deliver improved operational and financial outcomes. Provide the ongoing relevant project reporting to provide governance around the financial and operational performance

Customer and Partner Relationships:

  • Manage relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are understand, anticipated and met, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance the company’s operational capabilities.
  • Act as a liaison between the company internal stakeholders and external partners.

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide leadership and direction to your people ensuring the accomplishment of Company goals
  • Lead change management and communications as needed
  • Allocate resources efficiently to manage team workloads and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Post-Implementation Service Delivery:

  • Customer Support and Satisfaction:
  • Establish adequate support teams consisting of service field maintenance, call centre, card fulfillment, IT operations, Service Delivery and Customer Success
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication channels with customers to address their needs and concerns
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and performance metrics are regularly monitored and reported.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Conduct Post Implementation reviews to capture lessons learnt
  • Monitor the performance of deployed systems and services to ensure they meet expected standards and performance benchmarks
  • Implement processes for rapid identification, escalation, and resolution of any issues that arise post-implementation
  • Manage the Design and Build or change order programs for Managed Services accounts and/or the program managers delivering in the accounts
  • Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure that the delivered services maintain a high standard of quality
  • Training and Documentation:
  • Ensure that comprehensive training is provided to the customers to ensure they can effectively use our systems
  • Ensure that detailed user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides are properly maintained to assist customers in navigating the product or service
  • Inventory Management:
  • Act as the regional process owner for asset management services and lead the best practice in field services, repair services and inventory management
  • Has direct management responsibilities of customer spares order processing and fulfillment, field install management, equipment obsolescence and life cycle management, transit sales channel support services whilst monitoring budget spend and availability.
  • Maintain and comply with inventory control procedures and minimize discrepancies in line with global supply chain processes.
