Description:

Reporting to the CEO, Chief Operating Officer will oversee all operational aspects of our business, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences while driving operational efficiency and profitability. The COO will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, ensuring operational excellence, and driving the achievement of business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a COO or in a similar senior operational role, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of operational management principles and financial acumen.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, or related field; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Strategy: Develop and implement effective operational strategies that align with Daikan’s vision, goals and profitability. Monitor performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of department heads and managers. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs for staff development.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Ensure effective resource allocation and cost control measures to drive profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain high standards of service and quality across all locations. Implement best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency. Conduct regular audits and assessments of restaurant operations
  • Supplier and Vendor Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and partners to secure quality products and services while negotiating favourable terms. Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to guide decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with the Executive team and stakeholders, providing regular updates on operational performance and initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology and innovative solutions to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and improve customer experiences. Identify opportunities for new business initiatives, menu development, and service offerings. Stay up to date of industry trends and adapt operations accordingly.
