Description:

  • Accountable directly to the CEO for executing the company’s mission, overall strategy, and business plan in all aspects of the business and operations.
  • To support the CEO and executive team in all aspects of the business and operations.
  • To improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational functions, with responsibility for all governance and operational practices.
  • To lead, inspire, develop, and guide a high performing team across various business functions including Claims, Compliance, Human Resources, Office management, and Technical Administration.
  • To assist in recruiting, profiling, and selecting talent to build and maintain the organization.
  • To ensure successful onboarding of new teams and colleagues.
  • Oversees, implements, and refines agency and company operations to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
  • Oversees education and can provide coaching, training, and development programs to increase staff capability and agency expertise.
  • To monitor production and monthly goals for all producers.
  • To cultivate and grow trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, management, and external stakeholders such as advisors, regulators, and vendors.
  • To lead the liaison with government authorities including MOM, CPF Board, MAS, etc.
  • To ensure regulatory compliance.
  • To work with the Compliance Officer to assist International Compliance team in developing a strategic approach to Risk and Compliance across Ardonagh Specialty’s International Offices.
  • To be a trusted advisor to the business to help achieve good customer outcomes and positive regulatory relations.
  • Working with the Compliance Officer and the business to ensure all regulatory, operational and conduct risks impacting the segment have been identified, assessed, and have appropriate controls/being appropriately monitored.
  • To ensure there is on-going assurance of and adherence to relevant Group Policies and Business Standards.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects to improve processes, documentation, standardization as directed by the Price Forbes Asia Board.
  • Assisting the CEO of APAC with all operational and financial planning considerations for any future expansion in Asia.
  • Any other relevant tasks that the CEO may from time to time require you to enact.
  • Board
  • Attendee whilst Acting COO, and to become an Authorized Board Director upon formal appointment.
  • General Operations
  • Overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business
  • Ensure team members are clear about their roles, responsibilities, objectives, key performance measures and work schedule.
  • Coach team members to support high performance, acting as a role model.
  • HR
  • Review and approve monthly salaries with HR Manager.
  • Review and recommend annual bonuses and increments with CEO.
  • Review and approve contracts for new hires.
  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory CPD and training.
  • Compliance
  • Liaise directly with MAS to ensure compliance with all regulations at all times.
  • Guide and mentor the company’s Compliance Officer to develop him into an effective Compliance professional.
  • Manage corporate secretary on ACRA timely lodgment and compliance.
  • To ensure the wider team adopt and uphold best practices and act in a compliant manner at all times.
  • Ensure the CEO and Compliance Officer are made aware of:
  • Any matter which might expose the Company to a claim, legal action or regulatory action/investigation.
  • Any serious disciplinary cases.
  • Any substantial failure to comply with the external regulatory and legislative framework.
  • Technical Administration
  • Oversee team of three to ensure timely and complete booking of placements.
  • Claims
  • Oversee the company’s Claims Manager as needed.

Compliance

  • Comply with relevant legal, regulatory and compliance requirements, E&O compliance procedures and quality initiatives.
  • Escalation of any potential E&O’s to Compliance Officer and Executive Directors at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure completion of all mandatory Company training and to deadline.
