Description:

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Our client are on a mission to reduce NHS waiting lists by providing specialist clinical services which expand capacity. Their deserved reputation for operational excellence has led to significant growth. This COO role has been created to support the next phase of their journey including an expansion of their range of clinical specialities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious operational leader with healthcare experience. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the evolution of the organisation, taking the lead to implement robust and scalable systems and processes to maintain their excellent levels of service as they continue their rapid growth.
As COO, your primary responsibility is to lead all non-clinical functions, ensuring the efficient, effective and compliant delivery of services. In addition, and as a key member of the board, the COO will create and deliver against the organisational development plan and drive ongoing growth. Whilst the role is a leadership position with significant autonomy to manage, develop and shape our business to support their growth ambitions, their culture is non-hierarchical and people at all levels of the organisation are hands-on, working well as one team.
The role is ideal for either an experienced COO looking to apply your experience of leading an organisation through rapid growth, or a healthcare sector leader ready to step up to this level.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure the efficient delivery of all support services, providing direct and indirect management of all non-clinical functions.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with our clients and team of consultants, and through these relationships identify opportunities for new services and development of existing services
  • Lead efforts to maximise patient activity, and in turn, revenue
  • With senior colleagues, create and deliver the strategic, operational and business development plan for the company.
  • Maintain compliance with all appropriate standards and frameworks

In return you’ll receive a competitive salary, performance related bonus, healthcare, pension, car allowance and death in service benefits.
