Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Technician to join our Pharmacy department at The London Clinic, based at our main hospital site in London (W1G 6JA). We are offering a competitive salary range (Band 8a NHS equivalent) starting from £60,848 per annum dependant on experience. Job Profile As a Chief Technician you will develop, manage and coordinate safe, efficient and accurate technician led pharmacy support services across all sites at The London Clinic. You will further manage the senior pharmacy technicians for Dispensary Services, Ward Distribution Services, Pharmacy Procurement Services and Billing/Revenue Services.
Be responsible for mentoring and coaching all pharmacy technician senior staff to achieve team objectives and support & oversee the training and development of all pharmacy technical staff. Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday; 9am-5.30pm Job Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations). Key Duties To oversee the efficient running of all dispensary services as well as support the establishment of ACT run dispensaries. To oversee the efficient running of the pharmacy stores and distribution services. To oversee the efficient running of the pharmacy procurement services To oversee the efficient running of all pharmacy revenue capture processes.
To liaise with the lead pharmacists to ensure all clinical services are appropriately supported. To be part of the pharmacy management team. To oversee and support senior pharmacy stakeholders to ensure optimal pharmacy stock holding. To carry out final checking of dispensed items (with national accreditation qualification).
To provide medication counselling and drug information within professional abilities and limitations Skills and experience A minimum of 5 years consecutive post registration experience in a hospital pharmacy. Completed comprehensive rotations in hospital Pharmacy including top ups, purchasing, stores and dispensary Experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team Facilitation and tutoring of pharmacy staff Submissions will close on 17th June.
