Description:

JOIN THE FACULTY OF HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES AT THE LAB UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES TO COORDINATE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HEALTH AND SAFETY RESEARCH GROUP, WHICH IS A NEW MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH GROUP COMBINING EXPERTISE FROM THE FACULTY OF HEALTH CARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES AND THE FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY.

The LAB University of Applied Sciences has campuses in Lahti and Lappeenranta. We offer BA level studies in nursing, paramedic, physiotherapy, public health nursing and social services as well as several Master level studies to more than 3 000 students, aiming to connect work-life and academia. We also offer continuous studies and RDI services based on academic knowledge to help SMEs and other organizations to grow and internationalize. Our focus in health and wellbeing relies on multidisciplinary expertise and human-centric holistic, and life-cycle approach on promotion of health and well-being.
We seek an experienced researcher to develop international, applied research and publishing, thematically focusing on the possibilities that AI and cutting-edge digital and technological solutions can provide for human well-being, healthcare, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring growth of the RDI activities according to the strategy
  • Fostering high scientific quality and competence in the Research Group
  • Coordinating research operations of the Research Group
  • Initiating and promoting science and industrial collaboration at the group level
  • Monitoring and identifying relevant funding instruments (e.g. Horizon, Business Finland)
  • Initiating and coordinating funding application processes
