Description:

We are currently looking for a Chief Technology and Innovation Officer to join our team in Montreal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Technology Strategy Roadmap:
  • Create and execute a technology strategy that aligns with the firm’s business objectives, fills technology gaps and enhances our competitive edge. This includes data analytics, business intelligence, development support, infrastructure, security and technical services.
  • Evaluate key industry technology trends, explore emerging technologies, and drive initiatives that can transform the business and have a more innovative mindset to improve day-to-day IT operations, cybersecurity, and the efficient use of technology resources.
  • Ensure technology aligns with business goals, security and compliance.
  • Oversee IT Operations and Business Applications: Ensure the efficient, secure, and profitable use of technology across the firm. Supervise system infrastructure to guarantee functionality and efficiency.
  • Innovate and Integrate New Tools and Technologies: Identify, evaluate, and implement new tools and technologies that provide a competitive advantage and improve service delivery.
  • Data Protection and Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain robust data protection and quality assurance processes. Ensure infrastructure and applications meet security and compliance guidelines and align with disaster recovery guidelines. Ensure compliance with Firm data privacy, regulatory compliance, and standards across various jurisdictions.
  • Budget Management: Manage and monitor IT budgets, ensure cost-effective technology investments, and work to reduce costs in all areas (tool consolidation, inactive user removal, etc). Determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize return on investment.
  • Vendor Management: review, recommend and oversee all IT vendors and manage service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, software, and equipment.
  • Change Management: Anticipate and lead change, experiment with new technologies, and creating a culture that encourages innovation and adaptation to technological shifts but is cognizant of the internal systems, process, and culture with gradual disruption.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technology strategy and progress to partners and other stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, transparency and accountability. Evaluate, hire, develop, and retain a high-quality team of IT professionals.
