About the team you are joining
You will report to the Chief Information and Data Officer and, as a senior technology leader, you will be responsible for all IATA technology infrastructure and operations including technology deployment, network and system management, software development, cloud operations and vendor management. You will establish IATA’s technology vision, implementation strategies, and plans for maintaining and improving all technological capabilities in IATA.
What your day would be like
- Establish and communicate the internal and industry technology vision and strategies for IATA.
- Lead technology teams in their day-to-day operations, managing heads of departments, and setting performance goals and objectives.
- Develop strategies for advancing partnerships, technology platforms, and external relationships.
- Conduct technical reviews of products and solutions to evaluate their applicability.
- Conduct architecture reviews of our current IT landscape and identify areas for improvement and change.
- Manage the full IT spend across IATA and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Monitor the management of hardware and software licenses and projecting future needs.
- Develop, track, and control the operating budgets for purchasing tools, staffing and ensure effective operations.
- Managing and optimizing infrastructure assets to meet the internal financial targets.
- Developing business cases to support various strategic objectives and ensure stakeholder engagement and management across the various business teams.
- Work closely with the business and operational teams to deliver new and enhanced products.
- Track, analysing, and monitoring technological performance metrics and benchmarking.
- Lead engineering planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives, timetables, implementation and deployment of products.
- Oversee all aspects of IATA’s technology needs including product, operational support, infrastructure maintenance, software development, production pipeline support and software and hardware purchases.
- Work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure applications are in line with security architecture and best practices.
- Develop and implement training programs, strategic development and performance plans ensuring the individuals and Teams reach operational excellence.
- Lead core innovation activities such as our Strategic Partnership Program and Data Events.
We would love to hear from you if
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience leading teams in technology.
- Experience in AWS, SAP, Salesforce, JAVA/DotNet/SQL and Google Cloud highly advantageous.
- Extensive experience leading and building customer-centric and innovative technical teams including systems and software engineers, architects, 3rd party suppliers and internal support teams.
- Expertise in fostering strong partnerships, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving technology teams to their full potential.
