We are seeking a qualified Child and Family Health Nurse to join our amazing team in Jade House.

PURPOSE

The Child and Family Health Nurse position supports Jade House parents experiencing parent craft difficulties. This could involve providing clinical support in the Day Stay unit at Karitane, virtually and facilitating Parent groups.

Key Selection Criteria: (Each criteria must be addressed in your application)

• Current National Nursing Registration with APHRA with a post graduate Child and Family Health Nursing qualification
• Experience working with women and their families who are experiencing perinatal mental health problems or disorders.
• Demonstrated experience supporting parents, infants and families experiencing early parenting difficulties
• Experience in facilitating parent groups
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Computer literacy and ability to use technology for the purposes of service delivery
• Current NSW Driver’s licence
• Demonstrated awareness of multicultural issues

RESPONSIBILITIES

To practice in accordance with the recognised Standards for Mental Health Nurse Practice, Codes of Conduct for Nursing and legislation affecting Nursing and Mental Health Practice. All nursing staff are to provide evidence of current national registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
