Description:
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE
- One year of post-secondary education, training in child/youth care, or a related field
- Minimum one year experience working with children and youth with mental, emotional, behavioural challenges or those transitioning through family changes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to work with hard to reach children, youth and their families
- Ability to identify health and safety issues for children and youth
- Knowledge of child development, transitional themes, family dynamics
- Ability to maintain a client’s safety in the community
- Competency in maintaining confidential relevant documentation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of criminal record check
- Emergency First Aid is mandatory
- Driver’s License
- Successful completion of criminal record check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
