Job Overview* We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Workers for part-time and casual shifts to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance. Ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in environments such as home care settings and residential facilities.
.Duties - Provide direct care and support to individuals with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being. - Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and cleaning tasks. - Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary. - Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. - Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life. - Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Qualifications - Previous experience in patient care, specifically with children and youth with ASD; or working within nursing homes or assisted living facilities is an asset. - . - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others. - Certification or training in relevant fields (such CYW, SSW, etc) is desirable but not mandatory. - Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends. Experience:

• Autism: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Clear Police Check/ Vulnerable Sector Search (required)
• G License and reliable vehicle (required)
• First Aid & CPR “C” (preferred)
