Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Development Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting educational programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the learning experiences of children, particularly those with disabilities. This position involves collaborating with educators, caregivers, and community partners to create inclusive environments that foster growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of children.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience or training related to working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential.
  • A genuine interest in educating and supporting children’s development is crucial for success in this role.
    Job Types: Casual, Freelance
    Pay: $18.00-$28.40 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs tailored for young children, including those with disabilities.
  • Support classroom activities by preparing materials and resources that promote learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to develop individualized strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Educate parents and guardians about available resources and support services for their children.
  • Monitor children’s progress and provide feedback to educators regarding developmental milestones.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education and caregiving.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children in the program.
